The free core already compresses your context and shows your running savings total. Pro adds the analytics on top — history and per-project trends, plus a waste breakdown that shows which tool outputs still reach the model, and how well each one compresses.
After checkout you get a license key by email — activate it with the one command above. Keys are delivered through Gumroad today; automated checkout is on the way. The core CLI stays free and open source whether or not you buy.
Pro is the analytics layer. It never gates the token-saving itself — that is free forever.
Your savings over time — by day, by week, or by project — so you can see the compounding, not only today's number. Export the whole series to CSV or JSON.
mega savings history --by week --csvA waste breakdown by source and tool: which outputs still reach the model, how many tokens each still costs, and how well each one compresses — so you know what to fix.
mega savings insights --by sourceEverything that saves tokens ships in the open-source CLI. Pro adds the analytics that turn savings into decisions.
Mega Saver is open-core, so the code that checks your license is right there in the MIT source — you could edit it out. We don't pretend otherwise; a paywall in open source is a request, not a wall.
What you can't fake is the key itself. Licenses are Ed25519-signed offline by a private key we never ship, and verified against a public key baked into the CLI — no forged or edited key ever validates. Honest people pay for a real key, the same way they do for Sublime Text or Obsidian. The signature makes fakes impossible; buying one is how the work keeps going.
No account. No telemetry. Verification is fully offline — your license never phones home.
